On Tuesday, January 9th 2008 we lost our friend and etef co-founder Vonnie Brown.
A gifted and generous teacher, Vonnie helped bring education and a brighter future to many.

In 2001 Vonnie went to live and work in Lolotoe, East Timor.
In response to an obvious need, in 2002 she co-founded etef,
an organisation to support the education of those living in remote and disadvantaged areas of East Timor.
Through her tireless work, over 100 students and young professionals from Lolotoi and Fohoren were supported to complete their education.

Vonnie was extraordinarily selfless and passionate in her work to provide a better life for others.
Her energy and vision will be eternally missed.
Rest in peace dear friend.
